We take pride in the Lodge being an off-grid solar-powered escape, harnessing the suns abundant natural energy, to minimize our environmental impact and ensure your stay is equally comfortable, as it is, eco-friendly.

But our efforts go beyond solar power. We actively promote responsible waste management by composting all food leftovers and green waste through our large worm farm – a first of its kind in Tasmania – where organic waste is transformed into nutrient-rich compost, thereby, reducing landfill whilst also bolstering our local ecosystems health.

Preserving our properties pristine environment is of utmost importance to us. We have dedicated ourselves to protecting and managing the land which surrounds our accommodations to safeguard the native flora and fauna which inhabit our delicate ecosystems; which unfortunately, are too often rare or critically endangered.

From getting married at Bruny Island Lodge to spending two magical days here at the Beach House our experience was nothing short of Amazing. Bruny will always hold a special place in our hearts. And Ben, thank you to the moon and back for everything. Love the Gallo’s.

I have stayed here twice now with a group of friends. It is wonderful. I love the wood and the furnishings and I love how many people it can fit. The kitchen facilities are great- with everything you could need. I love how it can still feel cosy especially with the wood heaters going. The location is special- no one else around, bush surrounds so wildlife is in abundance and the view of the night sky is special. We spent an hour or two just gazing up and with no light pollution so you can see things you never thought were there. The generator is an easy switch to turn on and off so first up in the morning would be the switch flicker. The peace with nothing running at night was just serene. We will be back again for more laughs and trampoline fun. I love what they have done here and thankful we could experience it.

Thank you for having us to stay. We wish we could have had a longer visit. Our family enjoyed time together - playing games, eating, laughing, walking & adventuring around the island. It's a core memory for 3 generations! We greatly appreciated Bruny Island Lodge.

We have found Bruny Lodge to be a great place for the annual expedition of our group. This year we consisted of 11 friends who met a Melbourne University in the 1960s. Great walking, fine scenery. amazing wildlife, dubious weather but excellent facilities for us to use to have another great gathering. Thank you for keeping this lodge in excellent condition

Two nights spent in this beautiful lodge. Only four of us so we had heaps of space. Facilities are superb and the Space Invader machine brough back lots of memories from our misspent youth. Great place to stay and highly recommend.

We had no wedding to attend, we were not 21 in number - only 8, we were however suitably crazy. And we engaged in pop quizzes, we scored a seal of approval and multiple sea eagles glared down at us from high, with disdain at our feeble photographic attempts. We were delectably fed. And on the water, we braved strong winds and surfing under expert guidance. In short, our kayaking adventure was fantastic as was the company. We loved it!
