Taylors Bay Cottage

Gracing the shores of Little Taylors Bay is a fisherman’s cottage with a twist, commonly known as the round house because of its unique design features. Taylors Cottage looks out towards Huon Island and the D’Entrecasteaux Channel. Here, you can sit on the deck and enjoy the tranquil waters of Little Taylors Bay, just as the great explorer Baudin and the crews of the Geographie and the Naturaliste did in 1802.

Guest Reviews

Lovely peaceful spot to stay. Great base for the Island exploration. Loved our visit to Bruny. Beaches, Food, Wine, Cider, Beer, Walks and peace. Thanks!

Waking up to the stunning view of Taylor’s Bay was like nothing else ! Those big beautiful large glass panels around the cottage gave perfect unobstructed water views, and the deck was very much utilised for morning coffee, cheese boards, wine and oysters galore! The property felt nice and private, couldn’t see the neighbours at all! Plenty of space, the main bedroom was huge, the kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils needed, and it was very useful having a washer/dryer in the bathroom. Couldn’t fault it… was a top location… half way between the neck and the light house, close to the pub, and was pretty much a central point to all the places we wanted to go. Had some little wildlife friends visit in the evening!!! Wish we had stayed longer! Thank you for having us!!

Enjoying the house and ambiance of Little Taylors Bay - a great place to stay & enjoy Bruny & Tassie! Close to everything. We had a good look around again as we hadn't been here for 7 ears - a lot of new homes have been built. Went with Pennicott's boats to the southern isles. Saw lots of albatross & dolphins. Thanks for opening your house to us.

Such a wonderful retreat and relaxing cottage & outdoor environment. So very peaceful and comfortable - lounge room & bedroom. Evening glass of wine on the deck and morning yoga in sunshine on the deck. Convenient location to Cloudy Bay, Adventure Bay & Lighthouse Walk & View Will be recommending to family & friends.
